“ Herma highlights a metamodern hermaic point for reflection; a technopoetic threshold of meanings in an era defined by new challenges at a technological, social and geopolitical level.”

Concept
Herma – a small heap of stones and a sculptural column as sacred sign on thresholds, boundaries and crossroads – a point of orientation, reminder and reflection for the anonymous passer-by. Herma in search of balance: of lithic, liquid and ethical nature. Herma is a poetic video installation triptych of 21 words / cities ending in the prefix -cities, which describe the complex human condition through universal concepts, conditions, processes, materialities, patterns, contrasts and perspectives. The installation creates a digital and oneiric oscillation of words/meanings and abstract images, made of such phrases between micro and macro scales, inspired by the body, the mind, the cell, the city as well as society, technology and philosophy. Herma highlights a metamodern hermaic point for reflection; a technopoetic threshold of meanings in an era defined by new challenges at a technological, social and geopolitical level.
