Concept

We are all transmitters and receivers; cosmocities within galaxies and an oceanic cosmos of energy and matter. Transmitter presents a walking performance of the artist where he transmits a poem in Morse code via a laser towards the night sky. The universal acts of writing, transmission and drifting constitute the primal matter for this ephemeral gesture of the artist towards the unknown. The poetic condition departs from the printed page towards a transmedia process. A series of steps across streets evolves into a series of moments of transmission of the poem as energy and rhythmicities towards the night sky. The gaze and thought turns to the sky and that thin threshold of atmosphere before space, allowing bundles of energy of a poem to travel and be integrated as a minimal unit of dreaming.

Exhibition

Transmitter has been a commission for the We Are All Made of Stars group exhibition at MOMus Experimental (Thessaloniki, Greece), curated by Domna Gounari (curator), running from 12 December 2024 to 23 February 2025.
