Rem.ember

[ Site Postscripts series ]

Concept

Bodies, places and memories have the capacity to smolder. Rem(ember); enclosing in memory something that cuts me, that burns slowly as a coal, as the least unit of activating that which seems impossible; primal matter of a memory. It remains alive as an islet within a past sea. The installation brings together the sculptural light and poetic text inside the exhibition space. It presents a poetic statement of neon and spoken monostich by the artist (that ember inside remember is all, all we have), part of his ongoing Site-Postscripts series.
