Concept
Acrobats forms a series of digital video poems; where a strange never ending discussion between a male and female takes place upon anonymous, banal rooftops and in-between spaces of the postmodern metropolis. The composed scenery is highly symbolic; bringing forward a new vocabulary made of antennas, concrete, neon lights, clouds, haze, birds and cats. The repetitive character of such elements and experimental use of text creates an ephemeral space for potential which draws to ‘mono no aware’ philosophical concept. It is a series of works which brings together digital video, image, animated elements, text, sound through mixed media installations and monitor assemblages. Acrobats forms artist’s first response to metaphorical and performative associations of human and city; architecture and psychology; something which set the foundations for his later poetry collection entitled ‘Tundra’ (2017).
